Tentipi Gathering this weekend

June 23, 2016 Off By ProAdventure

Tentipi-UnderhillTomorrow, like-minded groups of people who share in common a love of camping in their Tentipi tents, will be getting together to socialise, play and begin a fantastic weekend at the 2016 ProAdventure Tentipi Gathering at Underhill Farm in the village of Pant, near Oswestry.

Located on the Shropshire-Welsh border, Underhill Farm was once a dairy farm, complete with medieval cottage and 19th century barn, but is now a unique venue for individuals, families and groups to relax and explore the local natural environment.

The Tentipi Gathering will be held over the weekend and begins tomorrow evening around the campfire for coffee and cake. The rest of the weekend will be full with a variety of activities like throwing pots from local clay, enjoying a walk or storytelling adventures, a little whittling, a little axe throwing or just simply doing your own thing. Canal and train rides are also available locally as well as canoe hire and climbing on the limestone cliffs if you have your own gear.

Although the Tentipi Gathering is a family camp there will be open fires and bush-craft activities involving knives and axes. There are also two ponds on the main camping field so please remember that you will be responsible for your children at all times.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but MUST be on a lead at ALL times. They are only allowed in your own tent and not in the free-to-use indoor kitchen or other farm buildings.

We’re looking to a fantastic weekend camping experience and if you would like to know more about future ProAdventure events, from the next Tentipi Gathering or the monthly Llangollen Adventure Lecture evenings, please call us on 01978 860605.
