This is a short photo blog of a snowmobile trip into the Swedish wilderness near Arvidsjar, Tentipi winter camping with Eldfell wood fired tent stoves at minus 25 degrees Celsius.
Photos are by Lesley Carol of ProAdventure.
After 24 hours the fire pit melted itself way down into the snow!
Ready to head off into the arctic wilderness.
Stakes around the back of the fire to stop sleeping bags getting too close to the stove. We took it in turns to stoke the fire in the Eldfell tent stove during the night.
Freshly caught and cooked arctic char requires its photo taking just before it freezes on the plate.
Fishing for arctic char was very cold work.
When the fishing got too cold there was always the fire to chill out and warm up beside.
Heated handlebars and seats are sort of essential in the Swedish cold.
Working on Tentipi requires a hefty sewing machine and a very large table!
